Wow, I just finished reading “30 Ideas, The Ideas of Successful Job Search” by Tim Tyrell-Smith. I’m not going to give you a cliff note summary of this (free) e-book because you need to read it yourself. It is longer than the usual blog you will read, 108 pages, but if you are in job transition and looking for good material to keep you going in the right direction it will give you help, inspiration, focus, strength, lots of new resources, and probably a well needed kick in the pants. There is sincerity to the writing that I find compelling and trust worthy.
I believe anyone who reads this, while in transition, can use it constantly as a reference to keep yourself on track. For those of you who don’t mind using the paper and ink, I would recommend printing off a copy, putting in your own personal notes and underlining the areas that keep you focused. I can see my copy of this book sitting on my desk, dog eared and hopefully signed by “Tim”. I know you’re thinking “why would it become worn, shouldn’t it help you arrive at that next position and get set aside”. No, the basic principles of this material should live with you so that maybe the next time you encounter a rough spot in life, it won’t be as rough. Read the book.
